No - moissanite and cubic zirconia are completely different. Moissanite is a genuine gemstone (silicon carbide) that scores 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale, making it nearly as hard as diamond. It won't cloud, scratch, or lose its sparkle over time. Cubic zirconia (CZ) scores 8-8.5 and tends to dull within a few years of wear. Our moissanite pieces use D-VVS1 grade stones - the highest color and clarity grade available.

Sterling silver can tarnish over time when exposed to air, moisture, or chemicals - this is natural and doesn't indicate poor quality. With proper care (wiping after wear, storing in a sealed pouch, avoiding chemicals), your pieces will stay bright for years. If tarnish does occur, it's easily removed with a silver polishing cloth or mild soap and water.

S925 sterling silver is generally hypoallergenic and suitable for sensitive skin. The small alloy percentage is typically copper, which rarely causes skin reactions. If you have a known nickel allergy, sterling silver is a safe choice as our pieces do not contain nickel.
